Rapper DMX has passed away following his week long battle following a drug overdose. The 50 year-old rapper had literally no brain activity following his admission to a New York area hospital. DMX, born Simmons, leaves behind a host of family and fans.

It was reported that DMX suffered an overdose of an unnamed substance and was put in life support when he reached the White Plains area hospital. The rapper never regained consciousness following the event that would eventually end his life. Stay tuned for updates to this story and more.
